Philmont 2023

This summer the troop sent two crews to Philmont Scout Ranch. The 220-square-mile ranch is located in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of northeastern New Mexico.

After flying into Denver, we toured Red Rocks and the Air Force Academy while we acclimated to the high elevation. That night we stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs. The next day we were off to Philmont to start our 7-day backpacking treks in the Philmont backcountry.

It was challenging but we had a great time.
